Maya Trueman, DPM, FACFAS.

Fellowship-Trained Foot & Ankle Surgeon

Dr. Maya Trueman is a board-certified podiatric foot and ankle surgeon who earned her undergraduate degree in Family Science and Public Health from the University of Maryland before completing her Doctorate at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She went on to complete a comprehensive three-year reconstructive foot and ankle surgical residency at Hoboken University Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident during her final year and leading a team of fifteen resident physicians.

She spent five years practicing in Colorado Springs, CO, before moving back to the East Coast to practice in New York City. As a New Jersey native, she couldn’t help but return to the place she has always considered home.

Her clinical interests include lower extremity trauma, fracture repair, tendon and ligament reconstruction, and the surgical correction of bunions and hammertoes. Additionally, she enjoys wound care and diabetic foot management.

Outside of practice, Dr. Trueman enjoys skiing, playing tennis, watching sports, and trying new restaurants. Above all, she loves spending quality time with her husband, their two children, and their two corgis.
