About Dr. Johanna F. Godoy
Dr. Johanna Godoy is an expert in the management of all lower extremity conditions, including those affecting the leg, ankle & foot. As a board certified foot and ankle surgeon, her practice includes treating general foot and ankle pathology in addition to performing reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive surgery and diabetic limb salvage. Her passion lies in treating Charcot Neuroarthropathy with the use of cutting edge techniques including internal and external fixation. She has given numerous lectures and presentations to other foot and ankle surgeons throughout the country.
After completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Montclair State University in New Jersey, Dr. Godoy earned her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. Upon graduating from medical school, she completed her residency training at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where she received extensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery and served as chief resident. In addition to her private practice, she is a physician on staff at her alma mater, where she trains residents and teaches students. She is very involved in the educational aspect of the profession and wouldn't have it any other way. In her spare time, Dr. Godoy enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, doing DIY crafts, and exercising on her Peloton bike.
