About Dr. Irma G. Godoy (retired)
Dr. Irma Godoy was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She always had an appreciation for the human body, so after graduating from university, she attended medical school in Peru. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitiation. After several years of practicing, she moved to the United States with her family and took a few years off in order to raise her four children. It wasn't until her oldest daughter was applying to medical schools that she decided it was time for her to get back into medicine. She attended The New York College of Podiatric Medicine with her daughter, Dr. Johanna Godoy, and then went on to complete a three year residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
Following residency, she decided to open her own private practice in Wayne, NJ, and that is how Godoy Foot & Ankle Center was born. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening and cooking.
