Dr. Heidi Godoy is a highly esteemed board-certified pediatric foot and ankle surgeon and podiatrist dedicated to enhancing the lives of her patients in Wayne, N.J.

Dr. Godoy’s expertise encompasses an array of areas including all areas of pediatric foot & ankle pathology including deformity, trauma, and infection. Notably, Dr. Godoy is one of the few surgeons in New Jersey trained in minimally invasive bunion surgery which sets her apart from other podiatric surgeons in the area. Dr. Godoy is also on staff at the Chilton Medical Center Wound Center where she treats all lower extremity wounds from burns to infection to diabetic ulcerations.

Dr. Godoy's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree at The College of New Jersey, followed by earning her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City. She further honed her skills during a rigorous surgical residency at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA., focusing on foot and ankle deformity correction and trauma. Dr. Godoy's commitment to pediatric care led her to become the inaugural fellow of The Pediatric Foot & Ankle Fellowship, located in NJ, solidifying her expertise in pediatric deformity treatment.

Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Godoy shares her knowledge through lectures across the United States with presentations on various foot and ankle surgery topics. She exemplifies her dedication to humanitarian efforts by participating in medical missions abroad, extending her expertise to underserved communities in many places, including Peru and Honduras.

In her leisure moments, Dr. Godoy finds joy in traveling, spending time with her husband, her two beloved goldendoodles, and her backyard chickens. She also relishes outdoor activities such as biking, running, and hiking, reflecting her zest for a vibrant and active lifestyle. Dr. Johanna Godoy is a leading foot and ankle surgeon, specializing in lower extremity conditions with a strong focus on the leg, ankle, and foot. Her practice encompasses general foot and ankle pathology, reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive procedures, and diabetic limb salvage. She is passionate about treating Charcot Neuroarthropathy, using advanced techniques like internal and external fixation, and she shares her knowledge through national lectures and presentations to peers.

Dr. Godoy earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Montclair State University in New Jersey before obtaining her medical degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Her postgraduate training was completed at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where she excelled and served as chief resident.

Beyond her private practice, Dr. Godoy is deeply committed to education, serving as a physician on staff at her alma mater. Here, she mentors residents and guides students, fueling her passion for teaching the next generation of podiatric professionals. Outside of her medical career, Dr. Godoy values time with her husband and three children, cherishing family moments. She also enjoys creative DIY crafts and maintains her fitness with Peloton bike workouts.

Dr. Son Tran is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon whose approach to care centers around compassion and advocacy-treating the patient before the pathology.

A recent transplant to the Northeast, Dr. Tran spent most of his life in California. He completed his professional education at Temple University and later moved to Washington DC for surgical residency at MedStar-Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. In residency, he trained under some of the most well-trusted pioneers in lower extremity salvage and reconstruction. He additionally bolstered his passion as a lifelong learner by completing an advanced fellowship in complex foot and ankle reconstruction in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Tran has presented multiple posters, manuscripts, and oral presentations at national conferences throughout his academic career. He remains updated with the most current medical technologies by being an active research participant.

Dr. Tran’s primary areas of interest include adult lower extremity reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, sports medicine, injury prevention, and deformity correction.
